As of October 12, 2026, CFMOTO has announced no price and no release date for the V4 SR-RR, in the U.S. or anywhere else. CFMOTO calls it a prototype and “an advanced platform for the development of future models,” and CFMOTO UK lists the price as “£TBC.” CFMOTO has also not said whether the production bike will be road-legal or track-only.
Motorcycle media expect a production version for the 2027 model year, and CFMOTO UK expects more news at EICMA in Milan in early November 2026. Neither is a CFMOTO announcement. We will update this page when CFMOTO USA confirms pricing.
What is the CFMOTO V4 SR-RR?
The V4 SR-RR is CFMOTO’s liter-class superbike prototype and the top of its SR sport family, sold in the U.S. today as the 300SS, 450SS and 675SS. CFMOTO announced the V4 engine at the end of 2024 and showed the bike at EICMA 2025 in Milan, in a release dated November 5, 2025.

CFMOTO also quotes a weight-to-power ratio of 0.86, measured dry with a racing exhaust kit, which puts the bike under 1 kg per horsepower. Dealer and media write-ups list more detail, including a reverse-rotating crankshaft, Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes and active aero winglets, but CFMOTO’s own release does not confirm those items, so treat them as reported rather than official.
The 196 mph top speed record
On June 15, 2026, a pre-production V4 SR-RR reached a GPS-recorded 315.82 km/h (196.2 mph) at the China Motorcycle Top Speed Record Challenge, held at a proving ground in Shangrao, China. Reports describe it as the fastest Chinese-built combustion motorcycle, with national inspection officials and a notary witnessing the run. For scale, that puts the prototype close to the published top speeds of the Ducati Panigale V4 R and BMW M 1000 RR.
CFMOTO called the record bike a “pre-production prototype.” That wording is the strongest sign so far that a production model is coming, but it is still not a release date.
What will it cost?
Nobody outside CFMOTO knows. CFMOTO UK reports “industry chatter” of £20,000 to £27,000 if the bike reaches production and labels it unofficial. Converted dollars do not translate to a U.S. price, which will depend on CFMOTO USA’s pricing, tariffs and freight. Any U.S. figure you see today is a guess.
When can you buy one in the U.S.?
There is no U.S. order process, no MSRP and no confirmed launch month. A road-legal U.S. model would also need EPA and DOT compliance, which CFMOTO has not addressed. The next likely update is EICMA 2026 in early November.
